Many
times, it’s useful in a chart figure to offer comments on the
behavior of recent results. This figure shows one way to do that.
Here, each area at the right acts as a legend, as a comment box, and
as a data label that shows the most-recent value.

the ending values change, and no one seems to notice.
The Setup for the Legend Boxes
The legend boxes mostly consist of text boxes. But because Excel
formulas can’t control the formatting of text boxes, we use three of
them per legend, one for the title, one for the data value, and one
for the notes.
