Excel Dashboard Designed
To Compare Several Entities

This dashboard format compares several measures for a variety
of different departments, employees, divisions, or other entities.

This dashboard is based on a format that appeared in the Harvard Business Review in the early 1980s. Typically, we use formats like this to compare the performance of similar entities: sales regions, divisions, departments, products, and so on.

Notice that all charts in a column use the same axes. This allows readers to visually compare the performance of different companies.

Charley Kyd's e-book, Dashboard Reporting With Excel, explains how you can create dashboards like these for your own company.
