How to Round Excel Time
To Half-Hour Increments

"Using Excel's ROUND function, is it possible to push time into 1/4 or 1/2 hour increments? How would you do that? Hmmmm... " -- Doug W.

Doug,

Sure. I did this quickly, so it probably could be simplified. But this formula rounds the current time into half-hour increments:

=INT(NOW())+ROUND((NOW()-INT(NOW()))/(1/48),0)*(1/48)

If you're interested in quarter-hour increments, you would use (1/96) rather than (1/48) in the formula.

Hope this helps,

Charley Kyd
