Use Excel's Drawing Tools to Create Your Own Cartoons

We can't push around numbers all the time with Excel. Sometimes, we just need to goof off.

Several years ago, I went on a family trip. I didn't take my laptop, because my wife told me to leave the damn thing at home.

So one afternoon they left me at the hotel with nothing to do. I found an old computer at the hotel, with an old copy of Excel. And I played.

These cartoons came out of that experience.

I drew them all mostly using Excel's Curve drawing tool. In New Excel, you can find it using Insert, Illustrations, Shapes, Lines, Curve.

If you think these cartoons are a complete waste of time, or if you think they're the greatest thing since business expense accounts were invented, let me know.

By the way, you have my permission to reproduce these cartoons if you include the ExcelUser info in the top-left corner, and a link back to this page if you post them online. However, the cartoons can't be sold or published for profit without my consent.
